Gift of a Lifetime - Television reportage by Peter Berecz
25th wedding anniversary, with a gift for a lifetime. A story of love, perseverance, struggle, and sacrifice. ATV's most-watched programme tells the story of a couple, Szilvia and Istvan. They have two children, one of whom was born disabled. The wife has kidney disease since her teenage years. Her condition began to deteriorate a few years ago and she knew that only a transplant could help. István donated one of his kidneys to his wife. The couple is looking forward to the new organ as much as the birth of a child. The operation took place on the day of the wedding anniversary.
A television reportage by Péter Berecz (23-year-old Hungarian television reporter).
