Getting Pratt
LOGLINE: Before leaving the police force, a clever homicide detective must bring a unique revenge killer to justice as his last assignment.
Synopsis:
Barry Randall Goetz, an ex-science professor who spent the last
decade in prison, has only one thing on his mind: Revenge on the cops who locked him up unjustly.
As he hunts them down one by one, he takes the time to attend old movies, befriend a lovely diner waitress, Brooke McClaren, and taunt the police department as a form of demented enjoyment. As a result of this, disillusioned homicide detective and aspiring novelist, Billy Ramos, is assigned to his final task of bringing him to justice before retiring, along with his eager partner, Wendy Winters.
With this is play, Barry soon realizes that he underestimated their experience and savvy. They not only find out who he is, but his motive as well, which puts them hot on his trail.
However, getting Barry to surrender will not be so simple.
He'll have to modify his plan of retribution in order to outwit the detectives, keep his friendship with Brooke alive, and remain undetected.

Raised in Southern California, I attended the Mae West Drama school at age 15, now defunct, where I found representation with Todd Turzo at Encino Talent, an also now defunct agency. Over the course of that year I auditioned for big brands like Nike, adidas, Nintendo, Dr. Pepper, and Quaker Oats cereals, to name a few.
Once 18, after deciding acting wasn't for me, I attended Cal Poly Pomona, where I obtained a bachelors and Master's degree in Biological Sciences and even taught Human Anatomy there for four years. Always a fan of films and fiction novels, plus with the added experience of thesis writing and teaching, this influenced
my attitude toward conveying information, and storytelling.
So, a few years ago, I made the decision to return to the entertainment business, in a different capacity: screenwriter and director.
Since leaving my job as a Professor, I've dedicated my time to writing several scripts and making films, which is how I got my first work - PEPPERBOX REVOLVER - optioned by producers. During this time, and before, I also worked on several videos for GIER PRODUCTIONS, in many capacities.
Furthermore, I'm also an alum for Jimmy Lifton at LIMSLA, where I also took part in several productions that have included talent like Viveca A. Fox, Adrian Paul, Joe Montegna, and Nichelle Nichols.
Alas, I continued writing other works until eventually making my first feature. The low budget I FEAR NO BEAST, which opened at the IFS film festival to great response.
Currently, I'm in pre-production on my second feature.
I'm currently looking for representation.
