Get Well

'Get Well' is a part of the music video series entitled ‘Prophet Trilogy’. The video series depicts three different states of mind, or masks so to say, which we present to other people: one for the whole world, another for loved ones and a third only for oneself.
The third part of the story, 'Get Well' symbolizes shedding the last mask, becoming free, but also mature. The Prophetess is going through the desert alone. Along the way, she meets various demons of the past who are trying to stop her, but also a few good souls that carry her when she can’t go any further herself. At some point, she cannot stand it anymore and starts trying to wash off the line on her face - the only thing that makes her stand out. She continues to run across the desert, but after a while, she stops dead. A vision of all the spirits appears in front of her. This is the climax of the whole Trilogy, where the Prophetess must decide whether she will win this fight. After a short hesitation, she breaks through the wall and runs away from her destiny.
In the words of the director, Maria Brachmańska (aka Brigit Störm): ‘it's just a symbolic representation of how trying to fit in at all costs and putting on a mask to hide your true self becomes destructive. Even in an oppressive society, which doesn't allow for much individualism.’.
