The Georgia Film Festival is a two-day film festival hosted by the University of North Georgia on its Gainesville campus. GFF celebrates filmmakers & films based in the state of Georgia and in the southeast. Great indie films & workshops led by industry experts!

The Georgia Film Festival (GFF) accepts films in all genres. Submissions are accepted via secure, online screeners (Vimeo preferred). Participants must label all work clearly with your name, contact information, exhibition format and running time. Projection quality prints of content will be requested upon acceptance into the festival.

Final programming decisions will be made by a screening committee comprised of students and faculty, shortly after the final decision deadline. All entrants will be notified via FilmFreeway. Please make sure to read all of the festival rules as well as the terms and conditions.

Great Festival! The people were super nice. I liked the fact that the workshops went on while they prepped for the next screening. I didn't miss much. Good networking.

My team was very pleased to be a part of this festival. Screening in the Made in Georgia category was especially special considering that was such a big part of why/how I made my film. The entire block was solid by all accounts. The organization of the event and the hospitality was on point. Thanks specifically to Robyn Hicks and her team.

  • This was my first film festival and I had the best time! I met a lot of incredible people in the industry and learned a ton about my craft as a writer and director.

  • The whole staff was lovely and super welcoming. There‚Äôs a real community feel since many of the volunteers are students, and families of those students come out to support the fest. We could feel the care put into the setup. The screening was in a nice campus theater, and it started on time and played without tech issues. I loved being part of the festival and recommend submitting.
