Geoff and the Ninja - Series Eps 3 & 6
"Geoff had it all...until he didn’t. In desperate need of a roommate, a ninja answers the call."
Geoff and the Ninja (GATN), is the story of Geoff and his ridiculous all-powerful roommate, the Ninja. After his girlfriend elopes with his embezzling boss, Geoff is left in financial and emotional ruin. On the verge of losing his house, finding a roommate becomes his last resort. Ninja arrives like a hurricane dragging a reluctant Geoff on countless dangerous adventures and tribulations. At first Geoff can't stand his new roomie, but he soon learns, there is more to the Ninja than meets the eye.
GATN is a live action cartoon sitcom with humour more akin to the likes of "Futurama" and "Rick and Morty." The show balances wild adventure with a genuine perspective on self improvement.

On a fateful prom night in 2003, dateless and with nothing better to do, Jeremy and Jon made their first short film. Destiny was on the phone, and they had answered the call. A beautiful friendship had begun, and over the next few years, the two began honing their skills as filmmakers with numerous short films and videography projects.
In 2007, they left their hometown of Prince George, BC for sometimes greener, oftentimes rainier pastures in Vancouver. It was here where their pet project, “Geoff and the Ninja”, was born. It was also here where they realized that bringing their ambitious project to life would require an abundance of two things - money and experience. Jon tackled the money, beginning a career in physiotherapy to fund their endeavours, while Jeremy studied TV production at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
In 2014, the phone rang once more. Destiny had called again, under the guise of the CBC ComedyCoup Competition. Naturally, they answered. Pulling “Geoff and the Ninja” out from the back of the closet, they dusted it off and placed in the Top 15 projects across Canada. For the next three years, they built on and refined the project, secured funding and distribution through TELUS STORYHIVE, and launched into production on their first season in the fall of 2017. Now complete, the series emerged from the shadows in November, 2018.
Geoff and the Ninja is a project that Jeremy and Jon have been working on for over 5 years, the original concept inception occurring when the two were living in Vancouver. Finally bringing the show to life for the first time in 2014 with Cinecoup's ComedyCoup Competition, in which "Geoff and the Ninja" placed in the top 15 nationwide. Afterwards, the two continued to focus on development until they felt they were ready to start a full scale production of the show. They were the lucky recipients of Story-hive's largest grant to date in 2017 and finally given the green light to film the first 6 episodes.
After over a year of production working with 60 cast and crew members the northern BC produced TV series was completed. We couldn't be happier with the end product and can't wait to get back to work on the rest of the season.
Hope you enjoy watching them as much as we enjoyed making them... Which is a lot... Like a lot a lot.
