Genuine Places
"Non-places," as coined by Marc Augé, are purely functional spaces—like hospitals, airports, and gas stations—that lack lasting human connection. They serve a purpose but leave no trace, with each interaction quickly erased by the next. This project explores how people’s interactions breathe life and identity into these impersonal spaces, transforming them into "Genuine Places." By documenting this process, it emphasizes the power of human touch to convert empty spaces into meaningful places shaped by memory and presence.
