"Geniuses" is a film-journey through the space of life and creation of art workers of the Southern Urals (Chelyabinsk region): poet Yanis Grants, artist Anatoly Kostyuk and composer Tatiana Shkerbina. In the aesthetic world of cinema, the boundaries of the objective and subjective world, real and artistic reality are blurred. The viewer is immersed in the atmosphere of the creative universe of each of the heroes, learns what inspiration is, how creators look at their region, how artistic images and their works are born.

Director Biography - Matvey Sholokhov

Born and lives in Chelyabinsk, Chelyabinsk Region, Russian Federation. He has a bachelor's degree in philology with honors, is now studying for a master's degree at South Ural State University, also in philology, and is engaged in science. He has worked on regional and university television, shooting corporate presentation films, musical films, commercials and social videos. He has received many awards from student journalism competitions for his work as a director of special projects for a university television channel.
