Sammy Ofori-Attah is a writer-director from Yorkshire, who recently completed the Raindance HND in film and the moving image. Having worked in dentistry for several years, he followed the natural pathway into film writing and directing, with a focus on comedy, thriller and documentary formats.
I’ve always been a fan of futuristic sci-fi stories that question whether ‘progress’ is always a good thing and Geneticide was one that did just that. Working closely with the writer and producer, I got to look into that theme and others, plus create layered and detailed characters. With so much thought and planning put into all the stages of production from colour to the script to post-production, and working with a large team, making Geneticide has provided an enjoyable and invaluable learning experience.
