Jamie Kolbrenner, a 2020 grad of Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television, has wanted to be in entertainment since her Mom forced her to go to film camp at the ripe age of 12. A dedicated and respected team-player, Jamie has strong experience and a passion for producing and writing dark comedy. Her directorial debut, "Gemini Rising", is her senior thesis film from LMU and in her words: "my baby."
Three years ago, I dated three Geminis in a row. Also, and I should mention, my mother is a Gemini too. The similarities between the three break-ups (I love my Mom, but her too) brought me to the conclusion: the day you are born has some influence on who you are. And thus, my appreciation of Astrology started.
If you believe in Astrology, if you don't, if you're somewhere on the fence, this film is for you. At its core, it's about a girl who just wants someone to love her for her authentic self (even if she is a Gemini.)
