Gearbevel City

In a futuristic and highspeed city, the robot residents anticipate the effervescent nightlife of Gearbevel City after long days of operating... Operating as robots, that is.
Jambot, a popular DJ who garners hundreds of listeners each night, has a secret passion: dancing. When their rival, Musebot -- the tyrannical reigning DJ -- takes over the city, Jambot must challenge Musebot to a mix-off to defend their territory. Through a leap of faith, Jambot learns to embrace their true passions to win the challenge, and the hearts of Gearbevel City.

Director Statement

I created "Gearbevel City" during a rocky time in my life where I felt lost in my career. I felt that robots were my only outlet for processing all of my emotions as a bogged-down student. However, I wanted to create a fun, vibrant, and exciting film that showed the positive side of following your heart as an ode to those who also struggle in their paths. With my talented team, we worked to create a world full of personality and liveliness, and strived to make a futuristic city that left audiences wanting to visit. Creating this film with my crew has been an amazing experience, I value the lessons I've learned, the connections I've made, and the deep trust that I hold with my crew. I hope to carry my experience with me into my future endeavors, and to inspire others with "Gearbevel City" like it inspires me.
