Born and raised in France, Houston arrived in the US (via Santa Barbara) at age 20. After graduating with a degree in film, he got his first job on a non-paid micro-budget feature as a PA. He's since 1st AD'ed tier-1 feature films while continuing to PA on major motion pictures such as Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
Today’s ethos is one of divisiveness so much so that even a deadly pandemic fails to remind us that we are all merely humans and that behind each of our decisions is a life’s worth of events. I set out to tell a story that humanizes a human -- tautology intended -- who's been dismissed as unambiguously grumpy. My goal as a filmmaker is to impede on that instinct to judge, and instead invite viewers to exercise patience when dealing with the strangers around them.
