Gary Francis Roche is a filmmaker, storyboard artist, VFX Artist, 2D compositor, animator, editor, and actor, having made his early attempts in short films, and documentaries. He graduated from Escape Studios in London with a bachelor's degree in studying computer animation.
He also directed/wrote/produced and orchestrated the indie-animated horror short/trailer, Burger Royale: A Short Prologue back in 2021, which won a total of 15 awards, and earned 2 nominations and an honorable mention at the ShockFest Film Festival, where it took home the award for 'Best Animated Film,' during it's yearly run in the festival circuit. He then went onto make the award-winning found footage horror short, /demo_n, earning another 4 award wins, one nomination from Chicago Horror Film Festival, and 2 honourable mentions before adapting it into his feature debut, in which he directed, co-wrote, and stars in.
Gary has worked as an Junior Animator on the brand new pre-school animated series, Pop Paper City, which was distributed by Aardman Animations.
Gary was also trained in acting at a drama institution, The Poor School, before transitioning to filmmaking and animation.
