Gaps in the Haystack
In time of war, a mother hen decides to travel to foreign land in search for her stolen egg.
Plot:
Once in a farm that remains ravaged by war, Laay, a hen, gives birth to a single egg. That night, she decides to stay awake and keep watch over her egg but still falls into a deep sleep. In her dream, warrior ninjas of the neighbor farm attack the village; destroying homes and taking away every egg they can find. She wakes up and finds her egg gone. She despairs at this discovery but soon decides to travel the vast land to look for her egg. When she gets to the border, she finds that the resident animals there are just as poor as they are back in her homeland. She resumes her journey and finds a huge factory with machines roaring continuously. The animal workers move harmoniously with dead looks in their eyes. Laay enters a chamber of the factory and gapes in shock. Inside is a giant machine processing hundreds of eggs in it. In one corner, there are piles and piles of eggs waiting to be processed and packed. She takes a step forward and tries hard to remember what her egg looks like. Tears start to form in her eyes. Hundreds of eggs and she has to find hers.
