“GAMA” follows the story of Ophelia, a young woman who struggles with mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, hallucinations and insomnia. Avoiding confronting her fears, she slowly discovers that she is descending into madness. After ignoring the help of her best friend and psychologist, she has no choice but to trust Alfredo, a co-worker with major temperamental problems. They both meet while attending a party, their connection is instantaneous and Ophelia leans on him to distract herself from her hallucinations. However, Ophelia feels overwhelmed as her hallucinations continue to haunt her. She tries to escape the suffering by committing suicide, but is momentarily stopped by her best friend. Ophelia takes advantage of the slightest distraction to complete her task and cuts her wrists in the bathtub.

Oralia Sáenz, a passionate director, actress and producer with more than 8 years of experience in the performing and cinematographic arts. She began her career at the age of 17 in theater and then delved into film direction and production while studying Communication at Tec de Monterrey, specializing in film direction and production. Her training includes valuable experiences at the Carla Estrada Artistic Space and courses at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. As an actress, she has participated in outstanding theater productions, while in her role as director and producer, her short film "GAMA" was selected at the Tec de Monterrey National Short Film Festival.
With an unwavering passion for film and theater from an early age, Oralia Sáenz focuses on continuing to grow as a professional, exploring new creative opportunities and telling stories that inspire and deeply connect with audiences.
