Gabriel Coêlho is a first time director. He studies Filmmaking at the Federal University of Pernambuco, in Brazil. He has written film reviews for Janela 7, a Brazilian film review website, and has written and directed student films which have travelled Brazil, such as 'The Trip' (2015), awarded as Best One Minute Film at the XI Comunicurtas UEPB, and 'Glimpse' (2016), which have been selected for the 15th edition of NOIA Festival. His debut film is '10' (2019), an Official Selection of the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival, made with the support of local Brazilian production companies. Nowadays, he is working in his next film, 'The Stars Are Blue and the Sky is White’, always experimenting with childhood and senescence.
