O GRU SHORTS BR é um novo festival realizado na cidade de Guarulhos, a maior cidade brasileira fora das capitais, conhecida por ser a sede do maior aeroporto internacional do Brasil.
Por tudo isso, o GRU SHORTS BR busca desenvolver sua vocação cosmopolita e diversa para criar um hub internacional no Brasil dedicado principalmente a realizadores de curta-metragens do Brasil e do mundo.
Queremos conhecer e interagir com cineastas consagrados e novos que produzem obras audiovisuais impactantes sobre os mais diversos temas e realidades.
O festival é anual, com exibições de todos os FILMES SELECIONADOS em sala de cinema, com escolha dos melhores trabalhos nas seguintes categorias:

REGRAS
1. Curtas-metragens nacionais e estrangeiras de qualquer país são bem-vindas e podem ser inscritas.

2. O tema dos filmes é totalmente livre e pode abranger qualquer gênero de filme narrativo, mas obras institucionais, publicidade, videoclipes e filmes pornográficos NÃO SÃO ACEITOS.

3. Os filmes devem ser apresentados em seu idioma original ou COM LEGENDAS EM PORTUGUÊS, PARA FINS DE SELEÇÃO.

4. Categorias de filmes:
- Curtas-metragens: menos de 30 minutos de duração.

5. Os gêneros competitivos incluem, mas não estão limitados a:

6. Materiais QUE VOCÊ DEVE ENVIAR VIA LINK, PARA O EMAIL grushortsbr@gmail.com :
a) CÓPIA DE EXIBIÇÃO: Os filmes devem ter sido produzidos em um formato mínimo Full HD 1080p (1920x1080 px).
OS SELECIONADOS DEVEM DISPONIBILIZAR através da plataforma Film Freeway ou seu próprio link, uma cópia FULL HD em .mp4 PARA DOWNLOAD.
b) DIÁLOGOS E LEGENDAS: Curtas-metragens que não estejam em português deverão ter legendas ou enviar a transcrição de todos os diálogos em português ou inglês, COM MARCAÇÃO DE TEMPO, no formato .srt.

O NÃO ENVIO DAS LEGENDAS CORRETAS EM INGLÊS OU PORTUGUÊS PODE RESULTAR NA DESCLASSIFICAÇÃO DO FILME.

c) MATERIAIS DE PROMOÇÃO:

Devem ser enviados o cartaz do filme e 3 imagens/stills do filme, com tamanho entre 1 MB e 3 MB por imagem.

7. A seleção dos filmes que participarão da competição será de responsabilidade da organização. Todos os filmes deverão ser inscritos por meio de plataformas autorizadas do festival.

8. O júri, composto por profissionais do audiovisual e da comunicação, será responsável por premiar os filmes e conceder menções honrosas, conforme julgarem pertinente.

As decisões do júri são soberanas e não serão comentadas caso a caso.

9. O anúncio oficial da seleção do festival ocorrerá no dia 15 DE NOVEMBRO e será comunicado por e-mail aos filmes selecionados, além de ser compartilhado com o público em geral pelas redes sociais e site do festival.

As exibições estão programadas para os dias 11 e 12 de dezembro de 2024, com a cerimônia de premiação AO FINAL DA SESSÃO do dia 12.

10. Os participantes deste evento aceitam todas as condições estabelecidas nesta edição do festival.

11. Os participantes cedem ao festival o direito de exibir pequenos trechos de seus filmes com a finalidade de divulgação do festival.

PREMIAÇÃO
Os troféus físicos e as placas de menção honrosa serão entregues inicialmente apenas aos filmes brasileiros.

A premiação internacional será digital, com anúncio, postagem e laureados digitais, com as regras reservando uma taxa de envio para vencedores estrangeiros que optarem por receber os troféus em seus respectivos países.

Caso o vencedor de uma das categorias internacionais compareça ao evento, ele deverá notificar o festival por e-mail, com a maior antecedência possível, para que um troféu também seja fornecido ao visitante vencedor.

GRU SHORTS BR is a new festival held in the city of Guarulhos, the largest Brazilian city outside of the capitals, known for being the headquarters of the largest international airport in Brazil.
For all these reasons, GRU SHORTS BR seeks to develop its cosmopolitan and diverse vocation to create an international hub in Brazil dedicated mainly to young short filmmakers from Brazil and the world.
We want to meet and interact with established and new filmmakers who produce impactful audiovisual works on the most diverse themes and realities.
The festival consists of an annual edition, on December 11th and 12th, with screenings of all SELECTED FILMS in big movie theater, with delivery at the end, of digital certificates and election of the best works in the following categories:

RULES
1. National and foreign short films from any country are welcome and may be submitted.

2. The theme of the films is completely free and may cover any narrative film genre, but institutional works, advertising, music videos and pornographic films ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

3. Films must be presented in their original language, WITH PORTUGUESE SUBTITLES, FOR SELECTION PURPOSES. If the film does not have subtitles in Portuguese, we request access to the LIST OF TIME-STAMPED DIALOGUES, in .srt format.

4. Film categories:

a) SCREENING COPY: Films must have been produced in a minimum Full HD 1080p format (1920x1080 px).
THOSE SELECTED MUST MAKE AVAILABLE through the Film Freeway platform or their own link, a copy FOR DOWNLOAD, in FULL HD (1920X1080) or ProRes 422 WITH PORTUGUESE SUBTITLES OR WITHOUT SUBTITLES. Failure to send the copy within the time period may result in the elimination of the selected film.
b) DIALOGUES AND SUBTITLES: Short films that are not in Portuguese must have subtitles and send the transcription of all dialogues in Portuguese or English, WITH TIMESTAMPS, in .srt format.

FAILURE TO SEND CORRECT SUBTITLES IN ENGLISH OR PORTUGUESE WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE FILM.

c) PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS:

The film poster and 3 images/stills from the film must be sent, with a size between 1 MB and 3 MB per image.

7. The selection of films that will participate in the competition will be the responsibility of the organization. All films must be submitted through authorized festival platforms.

8. The jury, composed of audiovisual and communication professionals, will be responsible for awarding the films and granting honorable mentions, as they deem appropriate.

The jury's decisions are final and will not be commented on a case-by-case basis.

9. The official announcement of the festival's selection will take place on NOVEMBER 15th and will be communicated by email to the selected films, in addition to being shared with the general public through the festival's social media and website.

The screenings are scheduled for December 11th and 12th, 2024, with the awards ceremony on the 12th.

10. Participants in this event accept all the conditions established in this edition of the festival.

11. Participants grant the festival the right to show short excerpts of their films for the purpose of promoting the festival.

AWARDS
The physical trophies and honorable mention plaques will initially be awarded only to Brazilian films.
The international awards will be digital, with an announcement, post and digital laurels, with the rules reserving a shipping fee for foreign winners who choose to receive the trophies in their respective countries.
If the winner of one of the international categories comes to the event, he/she must notify the festival by email, as far in advance as possible, so that a trophy can also be provided for the winning visitor.
