GLARE OF HANDLOOM
"Koothempally, a village in Kerala, is home to a community specializing in traditional handloom cloth-making. While they find joy in this craft, prosperity eludes them. For some, this work is a compulsion due to limited options. However, the younger generation lacks interest. The elders fear the loss of this heritage after their time. Despite their exceptional skill, the youth hesitate to continue the tradition. The community’s livelihood depends on this fading art, a poignant struggle captured in a documentary highlighting their exceptional craftsmanship and the challenges of preserving a fading legacy."
