GENTLE GIANTS-Mini Documentary

Gentle Giants is a mini documentary set in Botswana ( home to the largest population of elephants) about the most common issue in Africa especially, human and animal conflict. We deliberately took a more introspective angle to question how humans contribute to the battle and solutions brought by organizations such as Elephant Havens.

Director Biography - Legodile Kemong

Legodile Kemong is a documentary filmmaker & editor, cinematographer, and photographer with a passion for wildlife, natural history and cultural preservation. My work captures the uniqueness of our natural wonders & animals, how they coexist and complexity of the world around us, while also highlighting the importance of preserving our planet's rich natural and cultural heritage. Born and raised in Botswana I grew up to a topic of elephants roaming the land where people are supposed to be making a living thus resulting in serious conflict. I believes that, through film, I can inspire people to reconnect with nature, protect it, and appreciate the deep cultural heritage that has evolved alongside it. Mr Kemong was recently part of the Nkashi Storytelling Lab hosted by National Geographic Society, Red Cinema Cameras and Wild Bird Trust in Maun, Botswana.I continue to push boundaries of storytelling by collaborating with Indigenous communities and fellow filmmakers using modern, innovative technologies to create interactive experiences for the viewers.
