Our world is suffering one of the biggest crisis in its recent history; economical, social, political, as well as ecological. The current global system seems headed for a collapse that could drastically change humanity, or even extinguish it from the planet.
But at the same time, visionaries, inventors and innovative companies are developing what could be the definitive solutions for a new emerging way of life: renewable energy systems, permaculture, ultimate waste recycling, sustainable construction methods and ways of transport, healthy urbanizations and housing designs, conscious use of materials and natural resources, successful eco-villages.
In each episode we will visit those emblematic characters and flagship projects of this worldwide new paradigm, while depicting the problems, analyzing the solutions and showing the concrete techniques for the development of our Future Cities.

Hernán Vilchez studied film making in Argentina and Cuba. Since 2000 he has directed TV, commercials, video clips and documentaries in Latin America and Europe.
Specialized in filming indigenous peoples around the globe, he has produced the international content for the successful shows “World´strictest parents” (Sat1, Germany) and “Sweeping jobs” (SRF, Switzerland). He currently directs in the upcoming international TV series "The Roots of Faith" (History Channel) and "Living Religions" (Encuentro Channel), while writing and producing his own independent documentary projects.
In May 2014 he released his first documentary feature, "Huicholes: The Last Peyote Guardians", that already won 12 awards in 10 international film festivals.
