Director Biography - Alexandre Malgat

My name is Alexandre Malgat. I am 24 years old.
I currently study English Literature & American Studies at Swansea University, with the intent of pursuing a Masters degree in American History.
Born to a Welsh mother and a French father, I have grown up in the Swansea Area.
I discovered a deep love and passion for film as a child when my father showed me Reservoir Dogs for the first time. Growing up watching films was my film school.
My long term goals are to be successful in the film industry, both as a screenwriter and as a filmmaker, and to make people feel the same way about my work, as I felt when I first saw Reservoir Dogs.

Director Statement

Full Measures was one of the first short films I had written, which then became my directorial debut. I partnered up with a long time friend and an extremely talented filmmaker in Nathan Davies, who produced the film, along with its cinematography.

Filmed over the course of a day, on a £0 independent budget with talented and motivated actors who offered their skillsets knowing we had no budget to pay them, Full Measures is truly a no-budget short film by people who love the art of cinema and filmmaking.
