Director Biography - Jeppe Hildebrandt

Jeppe's passion for movies came at a very early age, but his abusive father forbade him to talk about movies, and hindered him in pursuing or living out his passion. Jeppe moved out at age 17, but growing up under the abuse of his father and brother, had left him severely damaged and rendered him unable to hold a steady job, and lead him to alcoholism. When he was 27, his rough life finally caught up with him, and he tried to commit suicide, twice, before he was finally hospitalized. After three months in the psychiatric ward, he was diagnosed with autism and released. Having no family to provide for him, he ended up living on the streets for several months, before he met the Danish documentary producer, Finn Mathiasen, who immediately recognized Jeppe's passion and talent for film-making, and helped him tend the final semester of the Potemkin Film College in Aarhus, Denmark, and afterwards help Finn aiding new students in finding their first steps within the world of film, while pursuing own projects and directing/producing own documentaries.
