Fright Lake is a place to celebrate local horror filmmakers and horror enthusiasts! We aim to be Utah’s (and surrounding states) permanent indie horror film festival. We believe you don't need an enormous budget to create great films. We are the go-to for talented low budget horror filmmakers.

We accept Short, Super Short, and Feature Films in the broad genre of horror. Submit your film for a chance to win a hand-made trophy.

Grab some popcorn, 3D glasses, your skeletons in the closet, and join us for some scares!

Rules & Terms

Film must have been completed after September 2022.

I accept and agree that if Fright Lake chooses my film to be featured, the film will be posted on all Fright Lake media channels. If chosen as a winner, I must have a valid address located in the United States in order to receive the prize.

    Thank you for selecting our shortm, "Under The Surface", as one of the Best Film Winners this year! A very small festival that the people behind it were able to accomplish virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic! All the films played with little to no issues, they answered any questions I had, and they clearly have a love for indie horror! I can't wait to see this festival grow and evolve and I plan on submitting again in the future!
