When someone close to you is sick, it's obviously incredibly hard for them. But often the people around them take it the hardest. It almost seems selfish at times. A close family member of my own battled with Cancer for 30 years. Having been with him in Australia for the last 10 of those, it took me nearly all of that time to realise that he didn't need taking care of, but for me to just enjoy life with him whilst we could.
My partner wrote this film for her mother, who had a similar situation with her best friend. The lesson being that we always feel we need to do more to compensate the pain, but really often all that is needed is to be there with our friend, uncle, brother or sister and enjoy life in any way we can. As for the worry, it doesn't help.
