Frenzy-Fest is a global competitive short film festival focusing on social and psychological vulnerabilities serving to increase awareness and empathy about the stigma of mental health. Frenzy Fest focuses on the human psyche as the totality of all elements forming the mind. In the mind’s complexity, almost all human beings may experience a temporary madness or a violent mental and emotional agitation, and may not be diagnosed as a psychotic person.

The central theme of all short-films submitted to the Frenzy Fest should cover the human mind and frenzy episodes. (Frenzy-Episodes / a kind of mental agitation, violent excitement, emotional breakdown, delirium and/or rage). Each play and short-film may present social issues as: drug-additions, rape, domestic-violence, immigration-issues, LGBTT-relationship, catastrophic illness. suicide, anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD-disorder, bipolarity, and social problems such as poverty or war, that lead the human being to suffer these Frenzy-episodes, giving us a wide audience since all people, or directly or indirectly, haves had to face some of these situations. The genres it’s open (drama, comedy, mystery thriller etc.)

Festival will be on AMay2024. Each short film will run online for two weeks and 2 live presentations in New York City.

PRIZES
• Best Short Film First Place by jury will receive the Frenzy Short Film Festival Statuette, a unique sculpture by the sculptress Olivia Beens
• Best Play by jury will receive the Frenzy Short Film Festival Statuette • The winners by audience will receive winner recognition award by Olivia Beens
• Monetary Compensation
• Film Screening online and live presentation in a venue as part of Frenzy Short Film

COMPENSATION
• The Best Cinematographic Works will receive a monetary compensation to concede the rights to BIP, even after the festival, to present the short film on the BIP website or any other BIP's live or online event, for one (3) months. (No exclusivity)

Rules & Terms

SUBMISSION RULES
• Adaptations and true stories must be in the public domain, or the Entrant must have written consent to adapt the source material.
• Judges, sponsors, administrators, and independent contractors who work with or for BIP are not eligible to enter the competition, nor are their spouses or other immediate family members.
• The short film must be the original work of the author(s) or on the date of submission must be wholly owned and controlled by the producer(s). If a script has been sold, is currently under option, is being produced, or is in any other way encumbered by a third party on the date of submission, the script is not eligible to be selected. If a script is optioned, sold, or produced after it has been entered, it will remain eligible in this year’s contest. Adaptations and true stories must be in the public domain, or the Entrant must have written consent to adapt the source material. A script that you have adapted from your own book, play, or other source material is eligible if you have retained all film and television rights to the property.
• Each applicant is responsible for license, permits and payments to any unions such as SAG / AFTRA or any other.
• The Filmmaker applicant is responsible for securing any and all necessary licenses for any third party content, including footage, music, fonts, artwork, and any other asset used in film production.
• Each selected short film will submit a trailer to upload/embed on our website for promotion.
• Each selected short film will submit a poster for promotion.
• Selected films cannot be published in any other platform during the Frenzy Short Film Festival.
• Short Films may not advertise any product, service, or other branding.
• The short-film may not contain material(s) that violate or infringe another's rights, including, but not limited to, privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights, including copyright infringement, or legal or moral rights of any third party, living or deceased.
• The short-film promotion must not contain copyrights, trademarks, or logos owned by others, or advertise or promote any brand or product of any kind without permission, or contain any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, email or street addresses.
• The short-film must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any jurisdiction where the production is created.
