FRENESI
FRENESI is a bit like someone handed grief a megaphone and asked it to perform poetry in a desert wasteland. We follow Carla, a 30-something Latin heroine with a flair for emotional self-sabotage, as she embarks on a journey that’s equal parts spiritual pilgrimage and petty revenge plot. Against a backdrop that screams seclusion, Carla wrestles with her shadow self—navigating the messy business of love, loss, and the absurd strategies we concoct to dodge blame. It’s raw, honest, and the inner monologue you never wanted anyone to hear.

I set out to make a film that scared me - I wanted to share a part of myself that I’ve held close, a part that feels almost too personal to expose. But there’s a kind of magic in that vulnerability, a healing that happens when we allow the world to see us as unkempt and desperate. There’s beauty in the way we fall apart and still find ourselves whole.
I wanted to show how, even as we fall apart, there's something profoundly compelling in our brokenness. Let us be vibrant, complex, and deeply human. And in my journey to embrace the parts of myself I’ve struggled to accept, I offer a story that hopefully makes you feel a little better about the parts of yourself that you keep secret.
