Director Statement

In my youth I was always very curious about how things work, how to acquire new skills. Often, once I learnt out how something operated, I'd drop it and move onto the next thing. Despite this I did collect some kind of useful set of abilities. Finally in film making I find I can focus various skills: writing, planning, directing, composing and editing into self contained projects, rather than be working on several unconnected things at the same time.
Having moved to the countryside in 2018, my latest short film "Freehold of the Senses" marks a return to discovery and exploration, i.e. outside the big city.
