It was an honor to be able to be a part of this wonderful festival in my hometown of Philadelphia! Though I live in Knoxville and actually was unable to attend it myself, my father who lives in Philly and that also works on my films with me, attended and praised the festival all around from the film selections, the hospitality, the interaction between filmmakers, and overall the way it was just ran. Huge shout out to Loren for communicating with me through email and Facebook as well as being such a friendly host for the festival. Hope to see you there next year!!

  • Freedom Shorts was a fun time! There was a backdrop for professional looking photos, there was an interview of the filmmakers, Loren was a personable, welcoming host, and an intimate after party. I really appreciated the intermission countdown clock, too, since my team's short was screened after intermission and were worried that people would not be seated in time, but that was no problem!
The selection of films was above par and I look forward to future Freedom Shorts screenings!
