Fredrik Carlsson's second short film, Blankness (Original title "Tomrum"), won the award for "Best Nordic Art Film" at the Västerås Film Festival in Sweden. The short film has also been screened in Finland at the Blue Sea Film Festival and at the Frame Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. The first short film, "Svikare" (only Swedish title), was produced in the mid-2000s with support from the Swedish Film på Gotland. Fredrik has further on studied script writing at Högskolan på Gotland and Biskops-Arnö, Sweden. Previously, Fredrik has been an assistant to the director Roy Andersson. In 2025, Fredrik will complete his studies as a production manager at Frans Schartau Business Institute.
