Adam and Gina have been married for 3 years. Gina was the primary breadwinner of the household. However, this situation recently took a toll on her, as her workloads increased significantly. It is especially harder because she is now on her second pregnancy, after a painful miscarriage. In one evening, as Adam picked her up, Gina was so ill. Adam was very troubled by it. Slowly, the anxiousness turned into fear and resentment toward Gina, particularly after learning that she was demanded to work on the weekend as well. Feeling extremely irritated, as the morning came, Adam confronted Gina, asking her to let go of her job altogether. Being devastated as well, Gina finally unleashed her inner thoughts, especially about the financial instability that would haunt them, supposed she resigned completely.

Aka Witharja believes in film for its power in bringing together the perspective of humans, as well as stating his unique ones. Director Statement

Through this story, the director is addressing the unspoken aftermath of miscarriage faced by fathers, when the society mostly talks about the mothers’. On the other hand, this story also serves the dynamic in households, where the wives are more financially stable than the husbands. Through this portrayal, the director wants to shine the light on how it becomes harder for males in this kind of household to speak up and the kind of compromises need to be taken.
