His passion for film started when he moved to Warsaw and pursued creative arts during his high school education. Having lived in Poland Franek started getting experience on set as early as at the age of 16 through the roles of PA or Extra on commercial sets. In 2022 by achieving first place in a movie review competition for his review of Yorgos Lanthimose's "Alps" (2011) Franek earned a spot on the Docs Against Gravity trans-generational Jury. This opportunity led him to meet and talk with filmmakers attending the festival as well as work alongside other Jury members with whom, he judged the "Best Debut" category at that festival.
In 2023 having graduated from high school, Franek started completing more and more photography projects working on film alongside it. During that time he got accepted into several film schools in Canada, where he planned to pursue higher education, and he settled for an offer from Capilano University in Vancouver. Unfortunately due to an injury from several years prior he was forced to defer his studies at Capilano and undergo a difficult surgery that immobilised him for almost half a year. It was during the time of recovery that he started writing "Wavelets" which would later become his directorial Debut.
In June 2024 Franek Directed his first bigger short film "Wavelets" as an end-of-year cinematography project of his friend Tymek Eksner and produced by Ama Film Academy. The montage of "Wavelets" was finished in October 2024.
