Having directed cross-platform theatre for over two decades in London, New York and Los Angeles, I am an emerging filmmaker with a drive to tell stories that strip characters bare, revealing their pain, suffering and redemptions. I am inspired and ignited by intense human experiences and my work rips the audience's heart via their gut, with a focus on extracting the love and connection that is created in moments of trauma and crisis.
As a director of traditionally staged theatre, alternative space/site specific live performance, immersive experiences, video games and audiobooks, my dominant focus is on the actor, providing a safe space for them to explore the full range of their emotional connection to character and story, and I pride myself on being "an Actor's Director".
I tell stories and create content for visceral interactive live performances, VR drama storytelling in 360 film, content capture for media brands, build immersive theatrical techniques for emerging technologies, voice and performance directing and am a creative consultant for various arts and tech companies in LA and the UK.
My early directorial experiences are grounded in traditional text based work and theatre for development. I am Co-founder and former Artistic Director of Theatre Delicatessen, an alternative space theatre company creating site responsive work in London's West End ("The Leading Light of Pop-Up Theatre" TIME OUT LONDON). Also Founding Artistic Director of Ferment Theatre: the debut production of TONIGHT/JUNGLE earnt Ben Brantley's Critics Pick in NYTimes 2016.
As an emerging female filmmaker now transferring my skills with story, narrative, character development and performance into the cinematic arts, I have studied at UCLA Extension, shadowed on a variety of tv shows including The Orville, Tales of the City and Grace and Frankie.
