Ian Aannevik is a filmmaker from the western parts of Norway. He makes short films, and aspires to move on to feature length films soon. He believes in honing his craft of filmmaking, and is meticulous in the production of his works. At the moment, he resides in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, where he studies at the Sarajevo Film Academy.
There is a painting called "Nødskudd" ("emergency flare") by the renowned Norwegian painter Christian Krohg form which this film draws a lot of inspiration. I wanted to make a story around this painting, creating the world I imagined to exist beyond its frames. I don't know why I figured a pompous Icelandic brewery CEO would be part of that, but there you are.
