Frame In Frame

Yang Sun-hyung explains a film to Ha Na-kyung by showing the film he participated in as an actor. He says he is the author of the original novel of the film, but at the same time he plays the character in the novel. But as time goes by, it's kind of weird. The boundaries between the space in the film and the real space that the two are watching become blurred. Also, the time of the film that looked like a real time turned into a question that may not be linear.

The cinema is passive in that we must look at the images projected on the screen. But Frame in Frame shows how the cinema extends beyond the boundaries of the screen. In a restaurant with only frames, a man and a woman look out over the sea. There is a television in this background, in which a film made by the man, based on the novel he wrote, is shown. Expansion from text (novel) to film. Just as the man in the television crosses the border between the sea and the beach, the restaurant in its intact state is revived in the television. The boundary crossing and expansion proves that the cinema is a medium requiring active interpretation (film critic HUH Nam-woong)
