Fragmentary Landscapes / Heterotopias I

Human body in earlier and late capitalism was used very specifically, in contrast to its use so far throughout the centuries.

From the production line, the warfare, the social structures and dynamics to the emblematic use of the body in every claim and also in every creative intersection, in every barricade against barbarism.

Is human body forming and mobilizing this secular process?

Director Statement

The "familiar" (or the "unfamiliar"), in all dimensions, shapes and forms is what interests us. "Saturation" is another concept we work upon.

Using techniques and materials, we experiment either by creating new environments, or by reviving existing ones. We highlight the dominance of saturation at various levels and we record all these elements in order to create experimental audio/visual snippets in all available formats.

The existence of sound in an environment -natural or urban- is an inseparable element for the perception of the space. Our experimentation with sound begins with an initial and practical mapping of sound signals, and evolves by speculating on the possible evaluations of the place / space in order to create new sound repertoires, sound readings, unglamorous landscapes. These landscapes are shaped through the relationships of each organization experiencing the space and the possibilities that the environment itself offers. Mediating sounds are re-appropriated, recorded and processed, resulting in a new generation of sonic elements.
