Director Biography - Yulian Mateo

Yulian Mateo learned the importance of resilience at a young age - growing up in the south Bronx will do that to you. After taking a multimedia class in high school, that resilience grew into ambition as he developed a love for film as the way to tell his stories.

While working in his first corporate job in New York, Yulian met Adam Race, now his creative partner, and they quickly became friends. It wasn't long before they knew they both had dreams of creative careers.

Years later, after getting his start directing music videos and small ads, Yulian reconnected with Adam and together they founded Stonecutter Films with the purpose of producing great narrative work through film.
