FOXES OF THE GREAT NORTH
Cecilia, is a young biologist and she accompanies us to the discovery of the arctic fox in the Norwegian tundra. Emotions and reflections come out from the pages of her diary which is the result of a scientific and human experience. She walks thought the mountain in order to reach the arctic fox dens. Together with her collogue she observes, studies and monitors this endangered species. The day is marked by the fieldwork activities. The night is the most difficult moment because the tundra becomes a desert and finding the camp-tent is a real challenge. Throughout the documentary, the months of research are characterized by great enthusiasm, amazement, fatigue and tiredness. Immersed in a wild and silent landscape, Cecilia adapts herself to the times of nature, discovering the creatures that inhabit it. She tells us about the life of arctic foxes over the seasons: from spring, which is the moment of birth, to the winter, in which the arctic fox shows its extreme adaptation.

CECILIA DI BERNARDI
Cecilia is a young biologist. She lives in Sweden where she is doing her PhD on wolf predation ecology. She spent part of the last 3 summers in the Norwegian tundra working as field assistant in a monitoring and conservation project on arctic foxes. She loves to film her adventures and tell stories about the animals she studies, from capuchin monkeys in Argentina, to arctic foxes in Norway and wolves in Sweden. When she is back home, in Rome, she sings, plays the accordion, and arranges little concerts with Sara, her best friend since childhood.
ROBERTO LO MONACO
Born in Rome on January 2nd, 1991. Always passionate about Nature and sea. To follow his passion he enrolled in the course of biological sciences at the University of Roma Tre. He continued his studies with a master’s degree in marine biology at the Marche Polytechnic University. Parallel to his university career he is increasingly approaching the audio-visual arts and photography, deepening his knowledge in video editing programs, graphics and animations, photography, aerial and underwater shooting techniques. After a period spent abroad, he has made this passion his job by collaborating with university research groups for the creation of scientific documentaries for dissemination and promotional purposes.
Nature and science show us incredible things and this is exactly what we would like to show in our documentaries. Our goal is a scientific documentary that talks about Nature and science. For us, science communication means telling a story in which the main characters are the passion for scientific research, the enthusiasm for new discoveries and the beauty of Nature.
