Director Statement

The idea for the film Forgiveness is Red was born in 2018 when I was challenged to create a contemporary retelling of the classic Little Red Riding Hood. That same year, as I deepened my journey of Christian faith, I felt the desire to include in the story the values of forgiveness and resilience I was learning from Jesus. As someone who has faced an attempted rape, I understand how difficult it is to overcome trauma and move forward. This film was created to help others understand the meaning of forgiveness and find the strength to start anew.

My cinema is deeply personal. I often work with centered framing, a vibrant color palette, and always include elements in shades of purple. At the end of each film, my protagonist looks directly at the camera, breaking the fourth wall to deliver a message: "This story happened to me, but it can also happen to you."

I love telling stories and transforming emotions into images. For me, cinema is poetry in motion, a way to create true works of art that touch people's hearts.
