Forgiveness Project: I forgive Me
"I Forgive Me" is a passion project conceived during the pandemic. Walking my dog became a way to connect with others and during that time, I was fortunate to have vulnerable and heartfelt conversations with my Oak Park neighbors. The film creator sought to shed light on the transformative power of self forgiveness. The film is born out of a desire to address a common need of self understanding and acceptance. Six individuals courageously share their journeys toward self forgiveness in hopes of inspiring others to embrace this key step in healing. Through the powerful medium of film and intimate storytelling we hope to empower others to embark on their own paths toward self forgiveness. It is my hope that this short film will reach a wider audience and make a positive ripple effect encouraging self-awareness, acceptance, and change.

" I Forgive Me" features the candid narratives of six individuals sharing their journeys toward Self Forgiveness. The film was created to empower and spark meaningful conversations and finding freedom in Forgiveness. It is my belief that self forgiveness is common to everyone at some point or place in time, and fundamental to self awareness and healing.
The idea for the film started with conversations I was having with neighbors while walking my dog during the pandemic. Walking was my saving grace during that time and a way to connect. I experienced people as more inviting of small talk and genuine when asked “how are you”? I believe the pandemic was the pause we needed to get off life’s hamster wheel and take stock of what was happening around us and, in some cases, what was happening with us. Anxiety and depression skyrocketed, and fear was at an all-time high. The only thing that was certain was that at some level we all wanted something to change, and some of us became ready to deal with the Elephant in the room and willing to take an honest look at the beliefs keeping us stagnant.
It is my true desire to share “I Forgive Me”
