“Forget me Not is a short film inspired by true events, having seen the close friends of both my mom and dad live with dementia. The lead character Leo is a combination of the personalities of both their friends who passed away because of the disease.
The idea for the film came from a personal desire to bring the ‘raw horror’ of dementia to the foe and to insight conversations based on real experiences of those who live it and are affected by it. This short film identifies with the truth of our own lives contrasted with the universal virtues of hope, endurance and love and taps into how collectively we can be more compassionate, especially to seniors living with the disease.”
