Writer Biography - Tyler Mann

I have been making films since I was in grade school with army men. In high school, I competed in many 24-hour filmmaking competitions. I earned a B.F.A. in filmmaking from the University of Texas at Arlington with a minor in communications in 2015. And, I have not had a "real" job since. I make a living through some aspect of video whether that's video editing, acting, or filmmaking and I don't consider any of that a real adult job. It's just too much fun!

Writer Statement

Having lived with my grandma at a young age who was struggling with dementia and Alzheimer's, I have always had a fear of the disease. It is my number one fear that at the end of my life when my body is wearing out, that all my lifetime of memories will not be there to reflect on. What was it all for if I lose those? That is just the kind of question I set out to answer with writing Forget Me Not.

I want to tell stories that are full of hope and grounded in humanity but also have some fantastic element for which could only be experienced through film.
