Foreign People
A young man with indigenous roots fights against the extinction of his Mayan cultural heritage in Yucatán, Mexico, a region colonized by the Spaniards who introduced bullfighting as one of their main celebrations. Through an improvised poem, he reflects on the suffering of his people and their hope for preservation.
This short film was shot under the mentorship of Pedro Costa.
