Academy of Art University’s Studio X brings the real-world studio environment into the classroom as students are given the opportunity to develop and work on short films with the support of the school. Overseen by industry professionals, this program gives students the experience of working with a collaborative team on all aspects of the project, teaming them up with student producers in the production of a film.
Production for this short started within the Academy of Art University’s Story Club. The Story Club, made up of Preproduction artists across a multitude of majors, saw the potential in a traditionally animated version of the FoodieCats series. After a handful of animation tests working out the look and mechanics of the characters, work quickly took off, eventually going into the Academy’s Studio X where it saw the completion of its animation.
