Director Biography - Sam Rozier

Sam Rozier is one of the founding fathers and mastermind behind River Rat Productions. After receiving his BFA from Elon University moving to LA in pursuit of a career in entertainment, he realized something. Saint Louis cultivates amazing talent for other cities to use. Aside from creating with people he loves (because woah BIG WIN), Sam started River Rat Productions with the hopes of ending the talent farm and ensuring that Saint Louis could be a destination for artists, not just a launching pad.

Director Statement

RRP's first short film, Food Poisoning, examines the meaning of friendship, forgiveness, and the cost of survival in this reverently irreverent dark comedy starring Spencer Davis Milford and Brock Russell. While production took place on a river bank 30 minutes north of St. Louis this past November, River Rat Productions aims to prove that Missouri is a viable destination for future film and television endeavors.

This film would not have been possible without our incredible creative team: Sam Rozier (writer/director), Ryan Kneezle (DP/editor), and Jordan Block (Executive Producer).
