Born in 1997, Savvas Constantinou is an award winning filmmaker, residing in the country of Cyprus. He has written multiple screenplays and created dozens of short form narrative visual content over the years that are currently available online. His film festival debut stating with the award winning documentary-short “Font of Infamy" in 2020.
The subject this documentary tackles seems to be really un-consequential and seemingly not that important, but it is my impression that people understand things the best when they are not feeling like they are forced to understand something complicated. The subject matter, the Comic Sans font, being a catalyst for an even bigger issue. The constant and rampant attitude of most people to blame inanimate things for things that they are to be blamed for. It's not the fonts choice for being used to be depicted badly, but the person who used the font to convey the message that is to blame for its inappropriate use.
And that is the analogy this documentary of mine is conveying, in a way that is not too ''in your face'' about it. While also a testament on how a documentary can be made with no budget and without a big team, during a global pandemic, showcasing that documentaries and new voices and styles in stories can still happen under the harshest of circumstances.
