The difficulty to present-visualize the story and the work of a multi-talented and important man who has been gone for almost 2 decades is multiplied when you yourself have lived the story in real time but much more so when with this man you were bound by bonds of true friendship.
In the whole process from the conception of the idea, to the first writing of the treatment, there was a constant confrontation between the huge archival material, which Panos Geramanis had left as a legacy of the wealth of the unique moments we had shared but above all the unique memories of his Bards . And this is because it was clear to us from the beginning that we will not create a cinematic memorial for our friend Panos.
I wanted to transfer to the big screen a "show" as I imagine Panos would do it if he were alive today. That is, using the "infinite" materials that are now available, but with a narrative-assembly that refers to radio or even written speech. An "asymmetrical" if I'm allowed the term narrative which, however, fits the style of the shows where we often heard him say "I think we're jumping from one topic to another but...".
Many times we may wonder who is the narrator of the story. Indeed, this is not a story in the classical form. We are dealing with many stories, something like a mosaic of small moments. "Moments from their life and our life" as he himself mentions in the speech of this very successful show about the true Greek folk song.
