Fly Trap

A young man in North America is trying to navigating the world in a state of mania, succumbing to his vices and the traps of city life. He doesn't belong in the boxes he was born into and looks outside for a sense of belonging, quickly thrown into chaos.

This film was made using the same process one might use to make an abstract painting, letting idea spill straight from the sub-conscious after it had been fed the narrative and character elements of the film. The results were caught on camera and assembled into a film.

Director Statement

Fly trap is a very personal film to me. It's an expression of a time of angst and mania that I lived through as I came of age. Although the events and stakes of the film are bolder and dramatic, It's one of the first films I've created that really captured what I wanted to capture.
