Director Biography - Sarah Vasen

Sarah has done her Bachelor in film and philosophy at the University of Amsterdam. Now she does a Master in Visual Ethnography at Leiden University. She would like to develop her skills within the human right documentary world and find a balance between art and activism. Her first short documentary was about a nomad in Morocco. During her second project she asked herself how it is to be a student, especially a female student, in the Islamic Republic of Iran. For her Master she is now focussing on the role of music for young Palestinians in the refugee camps near Bethlehem, Palestina.
