I just turned 21 years old this March and I have grown up in a generation of kids crumbling under the the pressures of social media and the new digital age. Every day is a journey navigating the extremely competitive environment of being a young adult in 2019. Growing up, I've experienced it all; I've seen cuts on friends' wrists, heard about attempted suicides, and don't have a single friend who hasn't struggled with their mind. Mental health affects my life in a big way. I made this film as a reminder to myself in hard times to remember how my calm energy "flows", as my meditation teacher taught me. At the time I made this, my anxiety had reached an all-time high. One night I wrote this script and it became a cathartic reminder to take care of my mental health in trying times. We are all a part of nature and this film is an ode to it's beauty and energy, and portrays a hope that we can channel that going into the future.
