Flood

Flood is an experimental film. It pairs visuals of flooding in York in February 2020 with verbatim soundbites from British politicians speaking over the past five years. These soundbites are often performed for publicity reasons, to show that the government is working on a solution, but these solutions tend to be short-term in nature. The quotes used in the film have been stretched and distorted, lengthening the politicians' promises until they blend in with and become part of an atmospheric soundscape.
