Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lainey has ventured into all parts of animation but found herself always drawn back to character design and storyboarding. By utilizing her unique experiences and love of history, literature, and anthropology as inspiration, she thrives in creating grounded yet adventurous stories for everyone to enjoy!
When developing Flicker, I knew I wanted to tell a story about a family and the importance of familial bonds. I wanted to tell a story that had the ability to remind people that despite losing someone, the love you have for them and vice versa will live on forever. They will live on with you in your memories and your heart. And in that sense, they will always be with you.
